Am I correct? If so, then you will need to modify Aaron Stebner's scripts by finding each custom action (by searching for the condition for example) and updating the custom action types accordingly. You can contact me (using the Contact link) if you need further assistance with this.

re: Project and File References Revisited

Hi Martin,

It is great to hear from you :) You are absolutely right. If you have "framework" style projects that are independent of the solution you are working on, then you don't really need to add them as project references. Those projects will probably have their own solution and they will be developed and versioned independently.

re: MCTS/MCPD Requirements Simplified

Rushit - Passing 70-528 and 70-536 will earn you MCTS: .NET Framework 2.0 Web Applications. If you then pass 70-547, you will earn MCPD: Web Developer.

www.microsoft.com/.../default.mspx

Please note that MCAD is a different certification, which targets .NET 1.1. Most of the exams required for earning MCAD are scheduled to be retired in March 2009 (www.microsoft.com/.../requirements.mspx). If you are using .NET Framework 2.0+, then you don't need to go for MCAD.

Just to be clear, passing 70-528, 70-536 and 70-547 will NOT earn you MCAD. According to the chart, if you are an existing MCAD and then pass 70-551, you will earn MCTS: .NET Framework 2.0 Web Applications and MCPD: Web Developer but the reverse it not true.

You can earn MCTS: .NET Framework 2.0 Windows Applications by passing exams 70-526 and 70-536. You can earn MCTS: .NET Framework 2.0 Web Applications by passing exams 70-528 and 70-536. As you may have guessed already, 70-536 is the Application Development Foundation exam, which is required for both certifications.

You can find more information about the registration process and additional learning on the exam information pages:

We are going to use this "Multiple Partitioned Solutions" approach (thanks to your advices in my previous job). It looks it will be useful for us. Only one small difference: We will use dll references not only for 3rd party products but also for internal libraries which are not coupled to the actual project (for example library with UI controls which can be also used in other projects). So these internal libraries won't be part of the master build and are absolutely independent (like the 3rd party libraries).

Sorry for my english speaking, i've tried to create conditions for Terminal Server and Vista, but I've not succeeded this. I've read Aaron Stebner's blog and create a postbuilevent with his script CustomAction_NoImpersonate.js.Okay for Vista users but how can I call CustomAction_NoImpersonate.js or an another script with conditions in postbuildevent ???
